The new year brings new excitement.
Winter recording. We begin in the studio in 9 days. We’re doing our same approach to pre-production as for the last album. We are dividing the work into two- eight week blocks to prepare elements of songs & do pre-production before going in the studio to record half of the album in live takes. We will add overdubs for vocals and a few select instruments.
We should have the recording from the second 8-week cycle in March, with the idea of getting the album out for mixing and mastering in the spring. We are aiming for a fall release date.
We will take to the road in the spring. We know we are going to Clarksdale Mississippi for the Juke Joint Festival in mid-April. We will be in Europe for May – http://www.delta.art.pl/artysci.php?id=53
We will have a busy summer, mostly likely in the Pacific Northwest and west coast and then be back in the south for the Muddy Roots Festival – http://www.muddyrootsrecords.com/mr_events/mr_musicfest/lineup.php – for Labor Day weekend and some other touring.
Then the album release. This is a rather special year for us. Keep checking back and we’ll let you know where and when events are going down.
